Jamie Chan was born in Boston, MA. He attended Middlesex Community College graduating with an Associate degree in Studio Art in 2009.
In 2012, he completed a bachelor’s degree program in Graphic Design at Mount Ida College in Newton, MA, with honors, as well as awarded “Best Thesis Project” “Propaganda and pop culture artists of the 1940’s.” He also created several vintage travel posters that were featured at Grand Circle Gallery in Boston, in 2012.
After graduating he began freelancing with Architecture and Interior Design firms in the Boston area. As a freelance designer he has gained experience in creating paintings, murals, and wall graphics for corporate businesses as well as residential and hospitality clients.
Since 2016 Jamie has been working as a commissioned Graphic Artist working with clients from private to the commercial sectors. He currently has work on display at Boston Art Inc.’s gallery. Jamie also participate in Free Art Friday events in the greater Boston area as well as volunteering with the Medford Art Council in Medford, MA. He is also part of an international group of Artist that originated in Bristol, England called The Secret Society of Super Villain Artists.
The intention behind Jamie’s artwork is to inspire people to enjoy their daily lives more by beautifying the spaces they occupy, one wall at a time. He aims to achieve this goal by working with local community outreach programs and city arts councils that provide opportunities for people to get involved in their communities and support causes that matter to them the most.
